Training and Development Process

Organizations are rapidly changing with the technology. Training and development is a process to develop skills, knowledge and increase quality of work needs of the employee and organization. In the present  environment changes to knowledge base environment. day today thing are rapidly changed. As a result organization needs to develop their employees to achieve organizational objectives efficiently. Therefore organization should develop their human asset through following process.



Steps for Training and Development Process

  • Determine the need of Training and Development

First determine a what are the training needs of employee to improve align with the organization goals and objectives.

  • Established specific objectives & goals which need to be achieved

The goals and objectives of the training and development have to be established. Organization can be set different goals and objectives to before implementation of  training and development program.

  • Select the Training methods
Next select the suitable training method can be done.

1.OrientationsGenerally used to introduce newly joined employees of the organization to introduce work culture including few lecture sessions regarding organization history.

2.Lectures  -  This method used to share important information has to conveyed to large number of employees. This information can be related to new updates, new policies or any change management of the organization.

3.Case study   - Best way to impart decision making skill and sharpen the judgment skill  of the employee. Participants to given a situation in terms of case study and thy have to provide solution in the given situation 

4.Computer based Training - Employees are provided to study materials and instruction of the computer.

5.Self instruction - Different self-instruction training such as Individualized instruction, program learning, personalized system of instruction ca be used to self instructions. These employees are responsible for their own learning

6.Job rotation - Job rotation enhance the understanding overall organization and skills. employees gain knowledge of different work profiles through job rotation.

7.Audio visual Training - This type of trainings, films, television, video tapes are used to expose employees to the real life situation.it describes how the problem stated in the situation is resolved. It helps to employees to get more knowledge about situations and provide them an appropriate directions to take decisions

8.Team building Exercises - This training includes activities which can improve knowledge ,skills with team members. It can be form of outdoor activities.

  • Conduct and implement the programs for employees

The HRM department decides the time period of implementation of the training and development program. The specific training programs are launched based on the workload.

  • Evaluate the performance out put and performance post the training and development sessions

Evaluation process of training and development is very important to evaluate performance appraisal. Changes in performance and attitudes based on the performance review.as a result productivity and accuracy of work indicates the success of training and development program.
